Applications are now available for the Greater Spokane PRSA’s $1,500 student scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Members of PRSSA chapters in the region as well as local affiliate members are invited to apply. Applications can be found at http://www.prsaspokane.org/day_on_the_job.asp and are due on March 31, 2010.

Congratulations to the PRSSA 2009-2010 Scholarship Recipient, Wes DeShano!

Wes DeShano’s demonstrated excellence in academics and well-round experience in the communications field made him the perfect candidate to receive this year’s PRSSA scholarship. He has completed three public relations internships while maintaining a grade point average of 3.95 and has been on Gonzaga’s president’s list all five of his completed semesters. Wes is also a member of Gonzaga’s student PR firm, Scholastic Communications. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in governmental public affairs, corporate public relations or non-profit public relations.
