Your Greater Spokane PRSA board of directors have been diligently working on a strategic plan for the past few months. During this process, we have interviewed a number of chapter members, held brainstorming sessions and made many revisions to a draft strategic plan. Now, it is time to take this draft document to the membership and get your feedback. We're inviting each of you to take a moment out of your busy schedule and join us for an hour and a half focus group session. This is your opportunity to learn about the strategic plan and share your thoughts. After all, this chapter's purpose is to serve you, the membership -- so we want to hear from you! Please join us on either Tuesday, March 4, from 4:30-6 p.m. or Wednesday, March 5, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Both sessions will be held at the Desautel Hege Communications offices in
Spokane. RSVP online by Friday, Feb. 29 by clicking one of the following links:
As a special thank you, each participant will receive two tickets to a Sunday performance of the Spokane Symphony, courtesy of the Symphony.Looking forward, Lance

This year's Day on the Job event is right around the corner! Chris Bieker will be contacting all of you who have volunteered to mentor a student in the next few weeks. Each of you will be matched with a local college student whom you can arrange to provide a job shadow for -- at your convenience! Day on the Job offers the opportunity for students to spend a day
shadowing communication professionals to glimpse insights into the
working environment. This year, students and professionals will choose
a mutually beneficial date between March 7 and April 4, 2008 to
complete the job shadow. The job shadow may still be done on April 4 at
the regular breakfast meeting.
The April breakfast meeting will highlight the Day on the Job event.
The professional panel presentation for students will immediately
follow the April breakfast meeting in Gonzaga's Cataldo Hall. Students
shadowing their professionals on April 4 will start after the panel
presentation. Special thanks to our sponsors: Desautel Hege Communications and Avista Corp.!
